The Story of Lucky Ranch

In the fall of 2009, we moved to Pyhätunturi for work. Before that, we lived in Rovaniemi and had just graduated with degrees in tourism.

Lucky Ranch's story began with Anu's passion for horses. Finding a stable for her horse was the first priority, and when we finally secured our own place in January 2013, the idea of starting a business began to take shape.

Before long, we decided to rent out the ground floor of our house to travelers—offering home-like accommodation in the same way we had experienced while traveling the world and staying with locals.

Antti had been running his own business, Elämysosaajat, since 2008, organizing event productions (including the legendary Levi Camp 531) and working in the restaurant and experience service industries. Lucky Ranch's adventure activities naturally evolved from this experience.

Antti's interest in snow construction became a reality in 2015 when we built our first test-run snow igloos. That same year, we officially founded Lucky Ranch.

Soon, we expanded with more horses and needed additional accommodation. In 2018, we invested in a property on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi (about one kilometer from the horse ranch), which we named Lucky Ranch Saloon. This opened the doors for us to expand into sauna and restaurant services.

Vision

At Lucky Ranch, we strive to provide authentic and unforgettable experiences through accommodation, restaurant, and adventure services.

Having traveled extensively, we love staying in small, locally-run accommodations and joining genuine, community-based activities. Locals always offer the best insights into an area and allow visitors to immerse themselves in the culture.

From the very beginning, Lucky Ranch was built on this philosophy—offering services that bring travelers closer to local people, culture, and nature. This remains at the core of our values today.

We believe the best experiences come from real connections in inspiring surroundings. We listen to our guests' wishes and customize experiences to suit their needs. At its best, our work is a shared experience between us and our guests—an adventure we all take part in together.

What our guests say about the Lucky Ranch

At Lucky Ranch, we offer a unique blend of adventure and tranquility. Discover the magic of Finnish Lapland through our authentic experiences.

We had a great stay at Lucky Lodge. The cottage is big and beautiful. The neighborhood is very quiet and very beautiful. You can find everything you need: kitchen with all facilities, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, sauna, three bedrooms. Many closets. The house is very well located, near the lake and close to the ski resort. I would definitely recommend it!

Our stay with Antti was incredible!!! We love every part of this place. Everything perfectly designed and prepared to guarantee a magnificent stay. We had an experience of a lifetime. We also had the opportunity to do the horse ride with Anu and it was wonderful. They are both very nice people. Gino (dog) is also an amazing host. I only have good wishes for this family, everyone should live this experience and meet them. It was just like their name: I'm very LUCKY to find this RANCH.

We stayed at Antti's property or 2 nights - one in an igloo and one in a cabin. Both were absolutely fantastic and very reasonable. We did a hike on one of the days in the nearby national park which was supremely beautiful. Overall highly recommended.
