Western riding is a discipline based on the work of cowboys, aiming for practicality and ease.
All the horses at Lucky Ranch are trained for western riding and use western-style tack. A good western horse must be ready to accelerate from 0 to 100 and calm back down from 100 to 0 in an instant. They need to know when to take a nap when the opportunity arises and be ready for work as soon as needed. In western riding, there are around 20 different competitive events, ranging from horse presentations and conformation evaluations to horsemanship and cattle-handling classes.
Everything starts with groundwork. Everything you do with a horse when leading or handling it is groundwork, and this lays the foundation for all other training and safe cooperation.

We are committed to keeping the horses in the best possible physical and mental condition. In addition to client work, we work with them on the ground and under saddle, strengthening their muscle tone, flexibility, and correct movement patterns. Moving in the trails offers aerobic exercise, and working in the riding arena or round pen can be compared to gym training, yoga, sports practice, etc.

We use the Bemer Horse Set, which supports the well-being of horses. Its use promotes circulation, enabling the horse to maintain good condition naturally. The Bemer Horse Set improves performance and supports recovery, while also aiding regeneration. Bemer therapy also helps the horse to reach a relaxed state more easily, both before and after exercise. Bemer improves blood flow in small microvessels, reducing swelling and enhancing lymphatic circulation.

We had a great stay at Lucky Lodge. The cottage is big and beautiful. The neighborhood is very quiet and very beautiful. You can find everything you need: kitchen with all facilities, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, sauna, three bedrooms. Many closets. The house is very well located, near the lake and close to the ski resort. I would definitely recommend it!

The igloos are beautiful and surprisingly comfortable, the sleeping bags keep you too warm, we were at -29°C and still slept well and warm, the warm house has everything you could need a speaker, chimney, shower, WC even wifi.

Our stay with Antti was incredible!!! We love every part of this place. Everything perfectly designed and prepared to guarantee a magnificent stay. We had an experience of a lifetime. We also had the opportunity to do the horse ride with Anu and it was wonderful. They are both very nice people. Gino (dog) is also an amazing host. I only have good wishes for this family, everyone should live this experience and meet them. It was just like their name: I'm very LUCKY to find this RANCH.

We stayed at Antti's property or 2 nights - one in an igloo and one in a cabin. Both were absolutely fantastic and very reasonable. We did a hike on one of the days in the nearby national park which was supremely beautiful. Overall highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience, what a great place!! we had a wonderful time, we went to celebrate my husband's 40 birthday. I was worried bc of the cold, but to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought, we slept until 2pm!!!!! we had a wonderful time. there's a lot of stuff to do while there, Annti has horses, cross-country ski, a beautiful coffee where you can eat and there's also a ski resort very close. Couldn't asked for more!! great time z totally recommend!!
